You will travel from Kathmandu to Dhap Bazaar on the first part of your Pikey Peak Trek itinerary via road. To get to Ghurmi Village, continue traveling along the road that runs alongside the Sunkoshi River.
Along the route, you may take in the Nepali countryside's dynamic landscape of thick woods, terraced rice fields, and countless flowing rivers. Once you get to Dhap Bazaar, you may take a leisurely stroll among the marketplaces. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
After leaving the Tibetan border village of Kerung we follow the trail to Jhapre Village. Along the trail we will stop and admire Buddhist monasteries and the incredible untouched landscape where orchids grow at random among the forests. On arrival at Jhapre we can watch the exciting Tibetan Buddhist rituals performed at the local monastery. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Leaving Jhapre, you will ascend towards the Pikey Peak Base Camp. The trail follows a grassy ridge and ascends to Bhulbhule. The view of Mount Everest is fantastic from here. Further, you will traverse via dense forests to Taklung Danda. On the way, you can see rich vegetation and the national flower of Nepal- rhododendrons. It will be a peaceful and soothing walk via beautiful nature. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
After a delicious breakfast, you will begin trekking from Pikey Base Camp to Junbesi. The trail goes through dense forests and meadows. You will then follow a broad gravel road that leads to Junbesi. Here, explore the village and get to see the daily lifestyle of the locals. The mountain views from this village are fantastic. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Even though you might easily spend the entire day admiring the views from Junbesi, you should definitely take the short excursion up to Thuptenchholing Monastery. One of Nepal's biggest monasteries, it is perched high above the valley and is home to a majority of female monks.
You may peek inside the buildings' internal areas and visit the kitchens. The monks are courteous, hospitable, and inviting, and it's an interesting location to explore. We will come to Junbesi after staying a few moments there. In Junbesi, spend the night in a lodge. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Today, we'll continue the Junbesi Khola's descending sandy track till we reach a steel suspension bridge. We shall arrive at Beni Ghat after crossing the bridge. Before reaching Phaplu, we'll continue our trek along the picturesque route. As we say our goodbyes to the Rolwaling region, we can go exploring in the vicinity.
Upon reaching Phaplu, we will begin our journey to Kathmandu in the local sharing jeep.
Note: There is an airport at Phaplu, but regular flights are not in operation. So, travelling by jeep is the only option for now. However, charter Flight from Phaplu to Kathmandu upon your request.

Pikey Peak is an easy trek where you often have to walk 5-6 hours a day. You don’t need past experience of hiking or trekking, but if you have done any kind of trekking activities, then it is always a plus!.
We have met people from all walks of life, shapes, and sizes who have completed the trek. The only difficult part is when altitude sickness strikes and the effect that it can have on your body. Before leaving for Nepal, it is good if you can prepare yourself physically by increasing your stamina and oxygen intake.
The Pikey Peak trek route is a comparably lesser-known route than the Everest Base Camp trek or any other trek in the lower Everest region trek. Since the trekking route is not so popular, the only available accommodations are either teahouses or a few small lodges.
These aren’t any basic campsites or luxury hotels; they provide basic two-bed bedrooms with blankets and pillows. Few of them might have hot showers and even attached bathrooms. Hot water, Wi-Fi, electronics charging, and other additional expenses like drinks and alcohol come with additional charges.
It can be an amazing opportunity to connect with residents and their culture and experience firsthand the warmth and hospitality of the Nepali people.
Due to the remoteness of the trek’s route, processed and pre-packed food is not readily available. This gives the trekkers a chance to savour the traditional taste of Nepali food.
Teahouses here offer both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food’s menu featuring fresh, locally-grown vegetables – all organic and free of pesticides.
Dal Bhat, a lentil soup with rice and curries, provides delicious and nutritious fuel for the trek, from which a famous saying came: “Dal Bhat power 24 hours”.
We offer shared local jeep transportation between Kathmandu to Dhaap and Phaplu to Kathmandu with the package.
Alternatively, you can opt for private transportation for an additional fee, which covers the journey from Kathmandu to Dhaap and Phaplu to Kathmandu.
We are concerned about your safety whenever you book a local company like ours, and we are here to help. Throughout every step of your trip, you will constantly have someone with years of experience to provide you with the best recommendations.
By making the reservations as early as possible, particularly during the peak trekking seasons, you may assure that you will be able to secure your desired accommodation without encountering any difficulties. Given that the majority of the most desirable places to stay in the region are often reserved well in advance, it is always a good idea to begin your planning process as early as possible.
